Volunteer South America began in response to demand from local non-profit organisations with volunteer positions on structured programs in Central and South America. Our mission is to fill those positions by helping volunteers like you find the position that is right for you. We are committed to providing you with quality service, information and support from the moment that you book to the end of your volunteer position.We want to keep costs low so that more people volunteer and help local organizations.
Volunteer South America is run by Juan Diego Badillo, a young architect specializiing in the conservation and management of Cultural Heritage. Juan Diego has studied and lived in the US and Europe. He has a long history of volunteering work, which began when he was a GAP volunteer in 2001. Speaks fluent English, and is passionate about his hometown country, Ecuador. He worked for over 4 years in the American Embassy in Quito,and now runs cultural and environmental heritage projects.
